Goulburn Valley Peace Pole Project

Pictured are some of the Peace Flags created by visitors to the Wellbeing & Psychic Expo in Shepparton.

The GV Peace Pole Project invites collaboration with other individuals, schools, businesses and organisations in the community who feel passionate about focusing more on the experience of peace at a personal, local and or global level.

The international project first began in Japan following the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and has since grown to over 180 countries with over 200,000 poles planted.

The poles traditionally have the words "May Peace Prevail on Earth" written, in a different language on each of the 4 sides.

The flags will be used at unveiling ceremonies for peace poles as they roll out across the Goulburn Valley.
